The Manufacturing Process

  • The Pulp

This is a pulp comprising wood and recycled waste paper. The waste paper has been preferred due to rising awareness about the environment. This is the combination that is sent through the pulping process.

  • Refining The Pulp

A bleaching process is carried out to refine the pulp and make it pure. Waste products and impurities are often a part of this pulp that needs to be filtered out. There are three ways of bleaching, which are decided on the category of the boards. The color enhancement or changes required in the boards will determine the extent of the bleaching process.

  • The Layering

The pulp is layered or plied depending on the requirements. It is the type of board that will determine the number of plies required for the boards.

  • Pressing And Drying

This is the process where the pressing will induce the density of the board’s formation. The high-pressure processing will also ensure that every drop of moisture is exacted from the sheets.

  • The Final Product

The final product is created when the boards are coated. It may be a coating of China Clay, calcium carbonate, or titanium dioxide. Another option for this coating includes an adhesive binder with starch and water emulsions.

The application of one or more coatings will enhance the smoothness, brightness, and luster of the boards. These are used for a variety of specialty purposes like greeting cards, wedding cards, and gift boxes to name a few.

Clinical precision is the key to a successful pulp and paper manufacturing process. Each stage is managed with skill and dexterity to ensure the perfect temperature and machine-induced modulation to get proper output.

We have a team of skilled managers and trained professionals who handle each stage of the manufacturing process. They ensure the highest quality standards at every step of the process.

Elaborating On The Pulping Process

There are two ways that pulp can be made in the pulp and paper manufacturing process. To know more about the process of manufacturing boards, it is significant to know this process in detail.

  • Mechanical Pulping

This process avoids the use of chemical products for the pulping process. The pulp is put through a grinding process with wood chips. This will help to separate cellulose fibers. Once the grinding has been done to create the pulp, it is again processed through a steaming method to further break down the wooden material.

  • Chemical Pulping

In this method, chemicals do the work of the grinder. The machine here is called a digestor and it prepares the woody pulp over high heat and pressure. The lignin, which is present in wooden fibers is broken down with a chemical in this system. The wooden fibers do not break down here and are preserved in long fibers. It helps to manufacture strong paper and boards.
